Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to provide capital growth by investing in equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide which meet the Investment Manager’s sustainability criteria. The Fund is actively managed and invests at least two-thirds of its assets in equity and equity related securities of companies worldwide. The Fund typically holds fewer than 50 companies. The Fund maintains a higher overall sustainability score than MSCI AC World (Net TR) index, based on the Investment Manager’s rating system. Biography	Scott joined the team in July 2022. His investment experience began at Neptune Investment Management in 2012, where he started a Research Analyst, responsible for Global Industrials, and then later as a Fund Manager, focusing on all-cap UK companies. Biography	Charles Somers is a Portfolio Manager at Schroders, on the London-based Global equities team, co-managing the Global Sustainable Growth strategy and leading the Changing Lifestyles strategy as well as a number of specialist institutional global equity portfolios. He joined Schroders in 1998 and is based in London. Charles was a Global Sector Specialist at Schroders from 2008 to 2014, responsible for the consumer staples and consumer discretionary sectors. He was a Portfolio Manager at Intrinsic Value Investors from 2006 to 2008, a long only, boutique value manager focused on European companies. He was an Equity research analyst at Schroders from 1998 to 2006, which involved covering European Consumer stocks. Prior to that worked on US team, specialising in healthcare. Qualifications: CFA Charterholder; BA in Classics from Oxford University.

Biography	Katherine is an Investment Manager on the Sustainable Growth Team. Before joining Baillie Gifford in September 2022, she had spent her investment career on the Global and International Equity Team at Schroders. Katherine joined the Schroders graduate scheme in 2008 and held various sector and fund responsibilities while developing a growing interest and expertise in sustainable investing. Katherine was instrumental in the development and management of Schroders’ Global Sustainable Growth Fund. She graduated with an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford in 2008 and is a CFA Charterholder.
