The portfolio aims to deliver an enhanced level of sustainable income and stability on capital invested. It may comprise fixed-interest instruments, including, but not limited to, bonds, cash deposits and money market instruments, preference shares, debentures, equity linked notes, derivative instruments including futures and options linked to underlying indices and equity securities, as well as assets in liquid form. The portfolio has the flexibility to hold a maximum of 10% effective equity exposure. The manager may use appropriate risk hedging strategies where necessary. The manager may also include unlisted forward currency, interest rate, exchange rate swap transactions and participatory interests or any other form of participation in portfolios of collective investment schemes. The manager may retain cash in the portfolio and/or place cash on deposit. The manager reserves the right to close the portfolio to new investors, in order to manage the fund in accordance with its mandate

Biography | Jason started his career at MCI in 1995 as a Project Manager. He then moved to Global Credit Ratings Co. (originally Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Agency) in 1998 conducting analysis on African Corporates, Banks, Insurance / Assurance, Medical Schemes, Structured Finance and Parastatals and progressing to the position of an executive director. After leaving GCR in 2004, Jason joined Nedbank Capital in 2004 as a Credit Research Analyst and achieved a number 2 ranking in the Spire Awards in 2005. He progressed into a debt origination role during 2006 and became one of the most active Debt Originators in the market; leading transactions that raised in excess of R80bn in listed debt for clients. In 2009 he was also appointed to the JSE’s Issuer Service Advisory Committee and served on this until he was promoted to Head of Nedbank Capital’s Debt Advisory in 2011, providing advice and raising funding for a number of clients on unlisted debt raising across a number of sectors and instruments. Jason has been appointed as Head of Credit for the Fixed Income team at Momentum Asset Management and followed Management to ALUWANI Capital Partners from Momentum remaining the Head of Credit, and the portfolio manager for the Momentum Income Plus Fund. He is instrumental in overseeing the ALUWANI Capital Partners credit processes, originating new assets and co-managing their specialist credit portfolios. | ||

Biography | Richard worked a senior investment professional at RMB Asset Management for 13 years between 1994 and 2007 where he was Chief Strategist, Head of Resources research, and a member of the Asset Allocation Committee.
