The Fund aims to achieve long-term (5 years plus) capital growth. The Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in shares or other equity related securities of companies incorporated, domiciled or carrying out the main part of their economic activity in Asia and Australasia, excluding Japan. In pursuing the Fund’s investment objective, the fund manager may consider it appropriate to also invest in other transferable securities (including non Asian or Australasian companies), money-market instruments, collective investment schemes (including funds managed by the Invesco group), deposits and cash.

Biography | Kathryn Langridge is a senior managing director and senior portfolio manager for Manulife Asset Management. She is the lead portfolio manager of the Emerging Markets Equity Strategy and Team. Kathryn began her career with the Jardine Group and held roles at Jardine Fleming in Asia, including Hong Kong and Singapore during the 1980s. She then worked at Perpetual/Invesco Perpetual for 17 years, holding positions that included head of Asian investments and head of international equity products, before joining Lloyd George Management as head of the Global Emerging Markets Team from 2007–2010. Kathryn was most recently at Jupiter Asset Management as the fund management director of the global emerging markets funds, and she held additional responsibilities for managing equity funds in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
