Investment Strategy

The Fund aims to achieve an income return, with some capital growth, over the medium to long term (at least 3 to 5 years). The Fund is actively managed and invests at least 70% primarily in a diversified multi-sector portfolio of fixed income securities. These may include investment grade and high yield bonds from multiple sectors including developed markets, emerging markets and asset-backed issues.

Fatima started her investment career in 1996 working in emerging market corporate debt before moving to Royal and Sun Alliance in 1998 to help develop the credit and high yield retail proposition

Biography	Alex runs the Artemis Strategic Bond Fund alongside James Foster and is the manager of the Artemis High Income Fund. She graduated in 2000 from the London School of Economics and joined Royal Sun Alliance, as a credit analyst. In 2002, Alex moved into managing retail bond funds with ISIS, initially specialising in the high-yield market but later adding duration and investment-grade positioning. Alex joined Artemis in April 2005 and is a CFA charterholder.

Biography	James has managed the Artemis Strategic Bond Fund with Alex Ralph since launch in June 2005. He has also run the Artemis Monthly Distribution Fund with Jacob de Tusch-Lec since its launch in May 2012. James has 20 years' experience of managing bond funds and was one of the first to establish a retail bond fund in the UK. He joined Artemis in April 2005 from F&C Asset Management where he was the head of credit, ultimately responsible for about 15 billion of assets.
