The Fund invests primarily (at least two-thirds) in the shares of companies around the world and in related derivatives (financial contracts whose value is linked to the price of the shares of such companies). The Fund focuses on investing in companies expected to become more profitable due to operational and/or structural improvements.

Biography | Dan is a portfolio manager in the 4Factor team at Ninety One, and is based in London. He co-manages the Global Strategic Equity strategy. Prior to joining the firm, Dan was founding partner and portfolio manager at River and Mercantile Group (R&M) and was responsible for managing a of range of portfolios, including the UK Core and Income portfolios. He worked at R&M between 2006 and 2022. Before River and Mercantile Group, Dan was a portfolio manager at Investec Asset Management (now Ninety One) between 2000 and 2006, and was responsible for the UK High Alpha and UK Smaller Companies Funds. He was also a Global Industrials and Resources analyst. Dan began his career at Schroders on their Pan-European Capital Goods Team in 1996. Biography | Rhynhardt is the Co-Head of 4Factor and co-portfolio manager for the 4Factor Global Equity, Global Dynamic Equity and Global Strategic Equity Strategies at Ninety One. He began his career at the firm in 2004 and was previously the Co-Head of SA Equity & Multi-Asset. Over the years he has been responsible for the fundamental analysis of a broad range of listed companies, the portfolio management of a number of equity and multi-asset strategies as well as driving the equity research agenda within these strategies. Rhynhardt rejoined the firm in 2010 from Oryx Investment Management where he worked for two years as a research analyst and portfolio manager. He graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management Sciences and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) in Investment Management (cum laude), before completing a Master’s degree in Financial Management (cum laude) at the University of Cape Town. Biography | Mark is Co-Head of 4Factor at Ninety One. He is the portfolio manager for the Global Strategic Equity Strategy. He joined Ninety One from Alliance Capital Management where he managed portfolios including the $500 million Worldwide Privatisation Fund, NYSE listed Southern Africa Fund, Spain Fund and Austria Fund. Prior to this, he managed developed market equity accounts for Brinson Partners (formerly First Chicago), following an initial three-year spell in research at Vickers da Costa. Biography | Nick Mottram was born in 1962. After gaining a degree in English and American Literature from the University of Kent at Canterbury, he joined Touche Ross & Co in 1984 as a trainee accountant. Biography | Jeremy joined Fidelity in February 2012 and manages the Fidelity Global Special Situations Fund. He has been managing global funds since 1990. He joined from Threadneedle where he was Head of Global Equities and managed the Global Select Fund since 2003 and during his tenure managed a number of other retail and institutional funds including Global Extended Alpha Funds. Prior to that, Jeremy was a fund manager at Investec for 7 years and managed the Global Free Enterprise and Global Strategic Value Funds, which had similar objectives to those of Global Special Situations. |
