Biography	Ian graduated from UCT and joined Allan Gray in 2001 as an equity analyst after several years as a management consultant. Ian has been managing a portion of client equity and balanced portfolios since January 2005, when he was appointed as a portfolio manager. In February 2008 he was appointed as chief investment officer, with overall responsibility for the investment team and portfolio management. He is a director of Allan Gray Limited.

Biography	Stephen resigned from AGL at the end of February 2008 and relocated to the United Kingdom to establish Contrarius Investment Advisory Limited (CIAL). Stephen has more than 10 years investment experience at Allan Gray Limited (AGL), the largest privately owned investment management firm in South Africa. Having joined AGL in 1997 as an equity analyst, he was appointed a portfolio manager in 1999 and a director in January 2000. He was made Chief Investment Officer on 1 April 2001. As Chief Investment Officer he was ultimately responsible for the investment performance of the firm and the management of the investment team. He was made Head of Research. Prior to joining Allan Gray Stephen completed his articles at Deloitte & Touche and was appointed Assistant Manager before his departure.
