The company was formerly known as Chuo Mitsui Trust Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, Inc. in 2011. Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Holdings, Inc. was founded in 1924 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
