Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.54% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK), which rose 5.97% or 1.48 points to trade at 26.26 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) added 4.19% or 1.12 points to end at 27.82 and Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) was up 4.13% or 0.050 points to 1.260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Logo Yazilim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LOGO), which lost 1.04% or 0.600 points to trade at 57.000 in late trade. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 0.76% or 1.00 points to end at 130.40 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) shed 0.73% or 0.040 points to 5.430.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 270 to 75 and 62 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.78% or 9.87 to $1276.87 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.45% or 0.70 to hit $47.66 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.26% or 0.64 to trade at $49.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.30% to 3.5138, while EUR/TRY rose 0.19% to 3.9628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.48% at 96.69.
