Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.56% or 9.10 points to trade at 172.70 at the close. Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.86% or 3.35 points to end at 90.20 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 2.60% or 3.00 points to 118.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which lost 0.36% or 0.9 points to trade at 248.4 in late trade. Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs) declined 0.33% or 0.8 points to end at 239.8 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) shed 0.14% or 0.3 points to 212.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 284 to 152 and 2 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.34% or 0.59 to $44.46 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.26% or 1.11 to hit $50.35 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.14% or 12.50 to trade at $1106.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.51% to 9.5649, while USD/SEK fell 0.75% to 8.6996.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 97.41.
