Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Materials, Consumer Durables And Apparel and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 1.67% or 0.81 points to trade at 49.21 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 1.55% or 5.0 points to end at 328.0 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) was up 0.80% or 0.38 points to 47.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 12.83% or 0.57 points to trade at 3.90 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 3.27% or 0.68 points to end at 20.12 and Schibsted ASA B (OL:SBSTB) shed 1.04% or 2.00 points to 190.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 65 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.82% or 0.41 to $50.21 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.70% or 0.37 to hit $52.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.01 to trade at $1267.09 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.3939, while USD/NOK rose 0.28% to 8.4032.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 97.29.
