Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Forestry & Paper, Holding Companies and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which rose 5.99% or 12.20 points to trade at 215.80 at the close. Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) added 5.89% or 6.65 points to end at 119.45 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was up 5.75% or 0.93 points to 17.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Centrale Laitiere (CS:LAIT), which lost 5.90% or 65 points to trade at 1036 in late trade. Microdata (CS:MIC) declined 3.58% or 5.30 points to end at 142.60 and Atlanta (CS:ATL) shed 3.12% or 2.00 points to 62.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 18 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.40% or 0.85 to $59.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.30% or 0.84 to hit $64.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1180.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.38% to 10.9290, while USD/MAD rose 0.25% to 9.6946.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 94.82.
