Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Real Estate and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.53% or 148 points to trade at 4335 at the close. Isramco L (TA:ISRAp) added 1.67% or 1.1 points to end at 67.0 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 0.73% or 140 points to 19300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Discount (TA:DSCT), which lost 1.59% or 12.6 points to trade at 782.0 in late trade. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 1.58% or 11.0 points to end at 684.0 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 1.42% or 23 points to 1602.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 216 to 135 and 91 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.57% or 1.84 to $53.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.52% or 1.91 to hit $56.24 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1161.60 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.45% to 3.8141, while EUR/ILS rose 0.10% to 4.0472.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 101.21.
