Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which rose 1.63% or 690 points to trade at 43010 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 1.58% or 460 points to end at 29600 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 1.53% or 24 points to 1589 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which lost 1.09% or 2.6 points to trade at 236.1 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 1.01% or 13 points to end at 1275 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 0.81% or 650 points to 79910.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 218 to 156 and 67 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.11% or 0.58 to $52.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.73% or 0.40 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.75 to trade at $1235.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.13% to 3.7469, while EUR/ILS fell 0.46% to 3.9958.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 100.52.
