Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.14% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes B (COP:NZYMb), which fell 0.54% or 1.7 points to trade at 315.3 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS) fell 1.03% or 3.4 points to end at 326.1 and Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb) was down 1.24% or 7.5 points to 597.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included William Demant Holding (COP:WDH), which lost 5.30% or 30.0 points to trade at 536.0 in late trade. TDC A/S (COP:TDC) declined 4.37% or 2.30 points to end at 50.35 and GN Store Nord (COP:GN) shed 3.89% or 5.9 points to 145.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 129 to 27 and 4 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.66% or 0.40 to $60.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.89% or 0.57 to hit $64.06 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.73% or 8.60 to trade at $1187.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.09% to 6.6155, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4592.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 95.17.
