Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which rose 1.60% or 280.0 points to trade at 17740.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.85% or 15.0 points to end at 1780.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) was up 0.32% or 60.0 points to 18660.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 4.10% or 0.8 points to trade at 18.7 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 3.34% or 340.0 points to end at 9840.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 3.06% or 380.0 points to 12020.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 3 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 1.53% or 2.17 to $144.02 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.43% or 13.50 to hit $3097.00 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.33% or 4.55 to trade at $1366.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.69% to 2967.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.41% to 899.90.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.30.
