Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Retail, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.16% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.1590 at the close. Centric Hold (AT:DESr) added 5.45% or 0.006 points to end at 0.116 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 4.90% or 0.1200 points to 2.5700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included J. & P. Avax (AT:AVAr), which lost 6.82% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.311 in late trade. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) declined 5.67% or 1.19 points to end at 19.81 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) shed 5.00% or 0.01 points to 0.19.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 51 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.30% or 4.00 to $1337.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.31% or 1.10 to hit $46.52 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.48% or 1.24 to trade at $48.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.40% to 1.1214, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8457.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.41% at 95.43.
