Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 5.02% or 180.0 points to trade at 3765.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 2.83% or 760.0 points to end at 27660.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) was up 2.90% or 30.0 points to 1065.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemargos (CN:CCB), which lost 1.05% or 120.0 points to trade at 11360.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 0.75% or 10.0 points to end at 1330.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 0.70% or 70.0 points to 9900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was down 1.25% or 1.80 to $142.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 4.15% or 96.50 to hit $2231.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 2.75% or 32.00 to trade at $1131.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.32% to 3003.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.32% to 890.89.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.12% at 103.17.
