Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.17% or 0.275 points to trade at 5.590 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 33.25 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.09% or 0.04 points to 43.81 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 5.09% or 0.85 points to trade at 15.84 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 4.40% or 1.04 points to end at 22.60 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 2.40% or 0.66 points to 26.86.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.94% or 1.00 to $52.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.41% or 0.69 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.75% or 9.40 to trade at $1269.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.61% to 1.1748, while EUR/GBP rose 0.13% to 0.8950.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 93.22.
