Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 3.59% or 0.900 points to trade at 25.950 at the close. JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 3.27% or 2.600 points to end at 82.000 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was up 3.20% or 0.380 points to 12.260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which lost 2.57% or 31.00 points to trade at 1175.00 in late trade. PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) declined 1.18% or 20.00 points to end at 1680.00 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) shed 0.92% or 1.10 points to 118.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 92 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.15% or 1.90 to $1281.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.63% or 0.32 to hit $51.17 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.40 to trade at $53.33 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.08% to 7.2356, while USD/PHP rose 0.10% to 49.788.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 99.36.
