Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which rose 4.27% or 0.500 points to trade at 12.200 at the close. Universal Robi (PS:URC) added 3.00% or 6.000 points to end at 206.000 and Jg Summit (PS:JGS) was up 2.18% or 1.550 points to 72.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semirara Minin (PS:SCC), which lost 2.35% or 3.8000 points to trade at 158.2000 in late trade. San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC) declined 2.21% or 1.500 points to end at 66.450 and Globe Telecom (PS:GLO) shed 1.70% or 38.000 points to 2200.000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 99 and 23 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.07% or 0.80 to $1183.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.68% or 0.41 to hit $59.66 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.49 to trade at $66.11 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.44% to 7.2172, while USD/PHP rose 0.38% to 44.813.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.59% at 94.56.
