Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.09% or 75.0 points to trade at 3660.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 0.74% or 180.0 points to end at 24500.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.32% or 80.0 points to 25120.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemargos (CN:CCB), which lost 2.04% or 240.0 points to trade at 11500.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.54% or 160.0 points to end at 10240.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.26% or 140.0 points to 10960.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.05% or 1.50 to $144.18 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.59% or 36.50 to hit $2328.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.99% or 11.50 to trade at $1147.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.75% to 2964.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.78% to 879.39.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.82% at 101.91.
