Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Materials, Financial Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which rose 3.34% or 4.74 points to trade at 146.59 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 2.22% or 0.940 points to end at 43.250 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was up 1.39% or 0.320 points to 23.390 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (MX:GAPB), which lost 3.95% or 7.94 points to trade at 193.20 in late trade. Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) declined 2.82% or 0.910 points to end at 31.370 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) shed 2.37% or 1.260 points to 52.010.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 142 to 126 and 12 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.53% or 6.70 to $1260.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.79% or 0.40 to hit $51.07 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.34% or 0.18 to trade at $53.79 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.29% to 18.6656, while EUR/MXN rose 0.03% to 20.9834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 96.85.
