Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 7.84% or 35.20 points to trade at 484.00 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.68% or 3.2 points to end at 193.8 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 1.46% or 1.80 points to 124.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 4.19% or 22.0 points to trade at 502.5 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) declined 2.50% or 2.8 points to end at 109.1 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 2.39% or 2.05 points to 83.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 292 to 254 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.21% or 0.37 to $31.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.52% or 0.18 to hit $34.68 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.63% or 7.60 to trade at $1219.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.77% to 9.4029, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 8.4778.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.99.
