Nov 25 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening 35 points higher at 6,467 on Wednesday, according to financial bookmakers.

AA PLC: British roadside recovery company AA Plc AAAA.L has agreed to be acquired by private equity groups Warburg Pincus International and TowerBrook Capital Partners, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

RIO: Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) RIO.AX neglected deep communications with traditional owners during China's iron ore boom, focusing instead on the technical challenges of ramping up and then shrinking its business, an executive said on Tuesday. COVID-19: British finance minister Rishi Sunak, who has already pledged over 200 billion pounds to fight the COVID-19 crisis, will free up more cash against the backdrop of the heaviest public borrowing since World War Two.

GOLD: Gold languished near a four-month low as appetite for riskier assets remained buoyed by the formal start of U.S. President-elect Joe Biden's transition to the White House and hopes a COVID-19 vaccine would be ready soon.

OIL: Oil rose for a fourth straight day, shrugging off an industry report showing a higher-than-unexpected rise in U.S. crude stockpiles and extending a rally driven by hopes that a COVID-19 vaccine will boost fuel demand.

The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed 1.6% higher on Tuesday, while the midcap index ended at a near nine-month peak as optimism over a coronavirus vaccine increased hopes for a swift economic recovery.
