Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Metal Products & Machinery and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 6.45% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.310 at the close. Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 4.17% or 0.040 points to end at 1.000 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 3.59% or 0.170 points to 4.910 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL), which lost 6.52% or 1.11 points to trade at 15.91 in late trade. Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:SAHOL) declined 3.42% or 0.38 points to end at 10.72 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) shed 3.03% or 1.22 points to 39.06.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 163 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.33% or 4.14 to $1257.24 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.15% or 1.62 to hit $49.74 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.95% or 1.59 to trade at $52.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.17% to 3.5661, while EUR/TRY rose 0.33% to 4.0076.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 97.00.
