Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Tourism, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE), which rose 5.07% or 0.110 points to trade at 2.280 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 5.02% or 0.92 points to end at 19.26 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 4.38% or 0.060 points to 1.430 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alarko Holding (IS:ALARK), which lost 7.51% or 0.390 points to trade at 4.800 in late trade. Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON) declined 4.36% or 0.42 points to end at 9.22 and Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN) shed 4.01% or 11.20 points to 268.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 213 to 125 and 70 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.29% or 3.45 to $1204.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.29% or 0.14 to hit $48.35 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 3.7344, while EUR/TRY rose 0.04% to 3.9855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 101.11.
