Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Tourism and Electricity sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC), which rose 6.13% or 1.32 points to trade at 22.84 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) added 3.37% or 12.25 points to end at 376.00 and Ronesans Gayrimenkul Yatirim AS (IS:RGYAS) was up 3.23% or 3.90 points to 124.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS), which lost 6.52% or 0.30 points to trade at 4.30 in late trade. 1000 Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:BINHO) declined 5.18% or 17.00 points to end at 311.00 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) shed 4.91% or 2.75 points to 53.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 416 to 149 and 16 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.67% or 17.84 to $2,627.26 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.86% or 0.60 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.64 to trade at $71.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 35.21, while EUR/TRY fell 0.29% to 36.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 107.97.
