Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Real Estate Investments and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Menderes Tekstil (IS:MNDRS), which rose 10.91% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.610 at the close. Adel Kalemcilik (IS:ADEL) added 6.05% or 4.25 points to end at 74.45 and Sinpas Gmyo (IS:SNGYO) was up 4.00% or 0.030 points to 0.780 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which lost 18.12% or 5.10 points to trade at 23.05 in late trade. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.230 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) shed 2.82% or 0.70 points to 24.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 272 to 132 and 10 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.50 to $1167.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.58% or 1.43 to hit $54.09 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.37% or 2.04 to trade at $58.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.65% to 2.6736, while EUR/TRY fell 0.88% to 2.9618.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 96.30.
