Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Non-Metal Mineral Products, Basic Metals and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.75% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cimsa Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CIMSA), which rose 10.00% or 4.10 points to trade at 45.10 at the close. Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) added 10.00% or 3.54 points to end at 38.94 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) was up 9.98% or 707.50 points to 7,800.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which lost 5.86% or 6.50 points to trade at 104.50 in late trade. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) declined 3.61% or 0.06 points to end at 1.60 and Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS) shed 3.58% or 8.20 points to 220.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 407 to 151 and 21 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.35% or 35.89 to $2,695.49 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.38% or 1.60 to hit $68.80 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.02% or 1.44 to trade at $72.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.23% to 34.82, while EUR/TRY rose 0.35% to 36.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 105.61.
