Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD), which rose 5.98% or 0.55 points to trade at 9.75 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) added 5.45% or 1.20 points to end at 23.20 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 5.30% or 3.60 points to 71.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which lost 4.94% or 1.32 points to trade at 25.42 in late trade. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) declined 3.75% or 0.75 points to end at 19.27 and Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:ANSGR) shed 3.16% or 3.50 points to 107.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 418 to 149 and 23 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.81% or 23.36 to $2,869.64 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.53% or 0.38 to hit $71.41 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.44% or 0.33 to trade at $74.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 35.88, while EUR/TRY fell 0.07% to 37.29.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 107.80.
