Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Semiconductor, Computers & Peripherals and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.75%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Paiho Shih Holdings Corp (TW:8404) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to end at 25.30 and Les Enphants Co Ltd (TW:2911) was up 9.96% or 0.91 points to 10.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW:2923) declined 7.67% or 3.05 points to end at 36.70 and Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) shed 7.54% or 4.60 points to 56.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.12% or 0.09 to $73.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.14% or 0.11 to hit $77.51 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 7.95 to trade at $2,687.15 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was unchanged 0.00% to 32.04, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 101.62.
