Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 0.19% or 0.05 points to trade at 26.48 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 0.06% or 0.05 points to end at 85.40 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 0.06% or 0.05 points to 86.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.80% or 4.30 points to trade at 109.00 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 2.78% or 5.9 points to end at 206.6 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) shed 2.71% or 7.3 points to 261.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 392 to 197 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.48% or 1.18 to $46.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.76% or 1.38 to hit $48.61 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.65 to trade at $1336.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.26% to 9.5321, while USD/SEK rose 0.70% to 8.5028.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.47.
