FTSE 100 today: U.K. inflation rises above expected, index falls; GBP climbs
Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa), which rose 0.52% or 0.85 points to trade at 164.90 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 0.50% or 0.70 points to end at 141.50 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.49% or 7.00 points to 1,422.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which lost 5.24% or 0.32 points to trade at 5.83 in late trade. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 3.49% or 2.80 points to end at 78.60 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) shed 2.78% or 0.71 points to 24.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 480 to 272 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.27% or 0.19 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.95% or 65.07 to trade at $3,408.77 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.36% to 10.94, while USD/SEK fell 1.08% to 9.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 97.95.
