Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb), which rose 1.94% or 4.60 points to trade at 241.50 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 0.67% or 0.60 points to end at 89.80 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.31% or 4.50 points to 1,454.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which lost 4.85% or 2.40 points to trade at 46.30 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 3.10% or 4.50 points to end at 140.80 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) shed 3.02% or 6.30 points to 202.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 494 to 278 and 71 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.22% or 0.15 to $68.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.21% or 0.15 to hit $72.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.32% or 8.39 to trade at $2,650.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 11.53, while USD/SEK rose 0.28% to 11.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 107.02.
