Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.20% or 0.61 points to trade at 28.38 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.90% or 4.3 points to end at 230.4 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.29% or 0.82 points to 64.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 1.36% or 2.00 points to trade at 144.90 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 0.20% or 0.10 points to end at 50.15 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 180.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 410 to 163 and 61 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.40% or 1.06 to $43.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.10% or 0.97 to hit $45.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.30% or 4.00 to trade at $1327.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.04% to 9.5026, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 8.6532.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 97.40.
