Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 6.48% or 1.58 points to trade at 25.98 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 4.93% or 2.35 points to end at 50.00 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 2.24% or 4.6 points to 210.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa), which lost 1.30% or 0.95 points to trade at 72.25 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 1.29% or 3.0 points to end at 230.3 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 1.11% or 0.80 points to 71.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 299 to 271 and 65 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.89% or 1.82 to $44.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.09% or 1.98 to hit $46.49 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.60% or 7.95 to trade at $1343.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.30% to 9.4176, while USD/SEK fell 0.77% to 8.4748.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 96.16.
