Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.59% or 11.80 points to trade at 340.10 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) added 3.19% or 4.90 points to end at 158.50 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.38% or 35.00 points to 1,507.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which lost 3.08% or 0.62 points to trade at 19.54 in late trade. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 2.67% or 0.10 points to end at 3.64 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) shed 2.27% or 3.90 points to 168.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 391 to 380 and 71 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.04% or 2.07 to $70.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.74% or 1.97 to hit $73.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 11.24 to trade at $2,669.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.33% to 11.57, while USD/SEK rose 0.12% to 11.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 106.22.
