Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sinch AB (ST:SINCH), which rose 8.21% or 1.94 points to trade at 25.58 at the close. NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb) added 3.45% or 1.50 points to end at 43.80 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 2.60% or 3.20 points to 126.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 1.98% or 2.85 points to trade at 140.85 in late trade. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.90% or 25.50 points to end at 1,320.00 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) shed 1.52% or 4.20 points to 272.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 422 to 351 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.07% or 1.78 to $59.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 2.77% or 1.69 to hit $62.81 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.91% or 64.80 to trade at $3,327.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.05% to 10.93, while USD/SEK rose 0.71% to 9.73.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.95% at 100.38.
