Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Hotels & Tourism and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010), which rose 3.90% or 4.09 points to trade at 109.00 at the close. Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200) added 3.41% or 0.71 points to end at 21.55 and Saudi Industrial Services Co. (SE:2190) was up 2.73% or 0.54 points to 20.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8020), which lost 9.84% or 3.72 points to trade at 34.10 in late trade. Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) declined 5.54% or 0.90 points to end at 15.35 and Saudi Telecom (SE:7010) shed 4.86% or 3.50 points to 68.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 38 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.49% or 0.24 to $49.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.80% or 0.42 to hit $53.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1093.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.58% to 4.0960, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7499.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 97.68.
