Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Transport, Hotels & Tourism and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230), which rose 4.57% or 1.48 points to trade at 33.90 at the close. AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY (SE:3091) added 3.69% or 0.60 points to end at 16.85 and Saudi Transport & Investment Co (SE:4110) was up 3.68% or 2.62 points to 73.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100), which lost 1.94% or 0.53 points to trade at 26.80 in late trade. Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) declined 1.64% or 1.06 points to end at 63.75 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) shed 1.48% or 0.61 points to 40.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 127 to 37 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.44% or 1.47 to $61.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.92% or 1.25 to hit $66.12 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.02% or 12.00 to trade at $1189.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.36% to 4.2456, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.59% at 94.61.
