Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which rose 0.99% or 660 points to trade at 67580 at the close. Teva (TA:TEVA) added 0.90% or 180 points to end at 20190 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 0.85% or 210 points to 24940 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Leumi (TA:LUMI), which lost 2.12% or 30 points to trade at 1384 in late trade. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 1.74% or 57 points to end at 3213 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 1.49% or 230 points to 15160.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 184 to 168 and 93 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.69% or 0.83 to $48.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.58% or 0.79 to hit $49.10 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.35% or 4.25 to trade at $1213.25 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.8576, while EUR/ILS rose 0.48% to 4.3093.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.47.
