Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Intesa Sanpaolo (MI:ISP), which rose 2.66% or 0.058 points to trade at 2.238 at the close. ENI (MI:ENI) added 2.61% or 0.37 points to end at 14.53 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) was up 2.57% or 0.0205 points to 0.8185 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Moncler SpA (MI:MONC), which lost 1.12% or 0.20 points to trade at 17.72 in late trade. Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU) declined 0.98% or 0.23 points to end at 23.23 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) shed 0.37% or 0.09 points to 24.14.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 205 to 125 and 19 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.26% or 0.14 to $53.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.32% or 0.18 to hit $56.74 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.75 to trade at $1222.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.0789, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8627.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 99.60.
