Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Property, Services and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 0.93% or 1.700 points to trade at 185.000 at the close. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 0.81% or 2.000 points to end at 249.800 and Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) was up 0.50% or 0.030 points to 6.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which lost 5.76% or 4.700 points to trade at 76.900 in late trade. Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) declined 5.05% or 0.270 points to end at 5.080 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) shed 3.69% or 4.10 points to 107.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 121 to 62 and 46 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.25% or 3.30 to $1338.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.07 to hit $44.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.03 to trade at $46.45 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.35% to 7.2377, while USD/PHP rose 0.19% to 48.270.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.07% at 95.34.
