Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 1.73% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 1.07% or 8.5 points to trade at 805.5 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 0.17% or 10 points to end at 5932 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 0.09% or 50 points to 58280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teva (TA:TEVA), which lost 4.33% or 910 points to trade at 20100 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 3.43% or 1280 points to end at 36090 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 2.54% or 47 points to 1807.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 111 and 126 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.02% or 0.01 to $46.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.39 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 2.27% or 28.80 to trade at $1295.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.38% to 3.7423, while EUR/ILS rose 0.89% to 4.3022.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.76% at 93.02.
