Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology Hardware & Equipment, Telecoms and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 1.87% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.55 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 1.45% or 0.50 points to end at 35.00 and Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) was up 0.56% or 0.80 points to 142.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 10.19% or 3.2 points to trade at 28.3 in late trade. REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) declined 7.32% or 0.14 points to end at 1.71 and Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) shed 6.43% or 2.2 points to 32.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 38 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.33% or 0.68 to $50.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.12% or 0.59 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.83% or 10.45 to trade at $1272.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.04% to 9.2365, while USD/NOK rose 0.71% to 8.1581.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 94.01.
