FTSE 100 today: rises to record high; pound falls; WPP appoints new CEO
Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Saturday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index unchanged 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were Rostelekom PJSC (MCX:RTKM), which rose 0.72% or 0.42 points to trade at 58.80 at the close. Transneft PJSC Pref (MCX:TRNF_p) added 0.39% or 6.00 points to end at 1,424.00 and Aeroflot PJSC (MCX:AFLT) was up 0.33% or 0.21 points to 64.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mobil’nye Telesistemy PJSC (MCX:MTSS), which lost 3.22% or 7.25 points to trade at 218.25 in late trade. VK Company Ltd (MCX:VKCO) declined 0.41% or 1.20 points to end at 288.50 and Polyus PJSC (MCX:PLZL) shed 0.16% or 3.00 points to 1,905.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 55 and 4 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was unchanged 0.00% to 30.41 a new 6-month low.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.11% or 3.60 to $3,346.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.51 to hit $66.49 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.73% or 0.50 to trade at $68.30 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.41% to 78.75, while EUR/RUB fell 0.22% to 92.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 96.82.
