Investing.com – Russia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Power sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the MOEX Russia Index declined 2.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the MOEX Russia Index were ADS Ozon Holdings PLC ORD SHS (MCX:OZONDR), which rose 0.12% or 4.50 points to trade at 3,774.50 at the close. GDR ROS AGRO PLC ORD SHS (MCX:AGRODR) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 1,083.80 and TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin (MCX:TATN) was down 0.19% or 1.40 points to 724.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Magnit PJSC (MCX:MGNT), which lost 6.21% or 296.00 points to trade at 4,467.50 in late trade. Unipro PJSC (MCX:UPRO) declined 5.00% or 0.09 points to end at 1.77 and Severstal PJSC (MCX:CHMF) shed 4.40% or 47.60 points to 1,033.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 227 to 18 and 10 ended unchanged on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
The Russian Volatility Index – RVI, which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia Index options, was down 0.50% to 49.45.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.60% or 20.05 to $3,327.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 3.03% or 1.88 to hit $60.17 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.06 to trade at $62.95 a barrel.
USD/RUB was unchanged 0.00% to 82.00, while EUR/RUB unchanged 0.00% to 93.38.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 99.00.
