Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Property and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron (PS:PCOR), which rose 3.51% or 0.340 points to trade at 10.020 at the close. Semirara Minin (PS:SCC) added 3.16% or 5.0000 points to end at 163.0000 and Energy Develop (PS:EDC) was up 2.82% or 0.220 points to 8.020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM), which lost 5.66% or 0.600 points to trade at 10.000 in late trade. Philex Mining (PS:PX) declined 0.72% or 0.050 points to end at 6.930 and San Miguel Cor (PS:SMC) shed 0.67% or 0.450 points to 66.500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 105 to 77 and 23 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was down 0.60% or 7.30 to $1217.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.49% or 0.29 to hit $59.59 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.14 to trade at $66.56 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.30% to 7.1598, while USD/PHP fell 0.21% to 44.439.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 93.72.
