Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which rose 2.44% or 0.230 points to trade at 9.660 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 1.02% or 0.0500 points to end at 4.9500 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.99% or 0.0160 points to 1.6400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 11.93% or 0.0520 points to trade at 0.3840 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 1.43% or 0.0021 points to end at 0.1451 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 0.89% or 0.0310 points to 3.4690.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 12 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.15% or 1.22 to $55.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.93% or 1.04 to hit $52.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.87% or 10.75 to trade at $1225.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0600, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8479.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.00.
