Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.16% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 8.98% or 0.0230 points to trade at 0.2790 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 4.54% or 0.0071 points to end at 0.1635 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) was up 1.84% or 0.0620 points to 3.4310 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 2.99% or 0.1540 points to trade at 5.0000 in late trade. Semapa (LS:SEM) declined 1.33% or 0.1750 points to end at 12.9750 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 1.01% or 0.0080 points to 0.7870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 14 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.74% or 0.41 to $55.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.55% or 0.29 to hit $53.10 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.35 to trade at $1205.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.8509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 99.88.
